Latest Headline: CNBC on Roku

Read all about it…new in the Channel Store…Roku adds CNBC Real-Time. I just need a drivers cap and some suspenders, speaking of which, anyone remember Newsies? I digress. Anyways, here is a closer look at the new CNBC channel on Roku.

CNBC Real-Time
CNBC Real-Time features live, real-time stock quotes directly from the NYSE and NASDAQ.  Additionally, the channel offers a personalized watch list (with the click of the remote, you can edit your stock list), news alerts and CNBC’s editor’s picks for the most important news videos of the day.

    This is great news.
    I am looking for other channels like NBC, CBS and MSNBC for real time. Any idea whether they will be available on Roku?

      Don’t you get over-the-air-TV where you live (for NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, etc.)?

    It’s a start. I don’t care about the stock news but looking forward to the time when real time news will be on roku.

    For those with older Roku boxes that also have an iPhone or iPod Touch… I had trouble with the command, *, for editing the stock list since I don’t have the current version of the Roku. I have the Roku XD. The “*” button isn’t on my remote. However, the iPhone has a free remote app for the Roku by Nas Banov that has the “*” key. It does not require any other hardware. Still I had problems because it would flip to the edit stocks mode only for an instant then back to the main screen. If I tapped the “*” button twice very rapidly, it would flip to the edit screen, back to the main screen, then back to the edit screen where I could edit the stock entries. There are other Roku remote apps that may work but not all of them have the “*” button. Some require extra hardware.

    I am upset that I cannot watch episodes of mad money on the roku anymore. Any chance cnbc will be adding these episodes to this new channel in the near future?

    I hate the new channel. It is all broken up and I it takes forever to see the nightly news or the today show. Bring back the old style channel
