  • Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon – An instant classic and nod to slasher-movie franchises, Behind the Mask exists in a world where iconic horror villains are not just movie icons but real individuals and a huge influence on aspiring maniac Leslie Vernon.   • The Purge – From the producer of Paranormal Activity and starring Ethan Hawke, the story takes place in the future where they annually allow a 12-hour period in which any and all crime is legalized. Drama and hysteria ensues when a wealthy family is held hostage by Purge participants for harboring the target of one of their murderous rampages.   • The Hangover Part III – The epic trilogy comes to an end as The Wolfpack (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis         and Justin Bartha) gets together one last time in Las Vegas – the city where it all began. All hell breaks loose when one of their own gets kidnapped and on their route to save him everything in their patch crumbles in mayhem.   • Curse of Chucky – In the latest Chucky franchise, after her mother’s mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to recent bloodshed and chaos.   • Crash – A crime drama film by Paul Haggis brings together a group of strangers in Los Angeles and how their lives interweave after a car accident. The film underlies the racial and social tensions at the time. A self-described “passion piece” for Haggis, Crash was inspired by a real-life incident in which his Porsche was carjacked outside a video store on Wilshire Boulevard in 1991.   • The Devil’s Own – Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt co-star in Alan J. Pakula’s hit about an IRA terrorist who escapes from British troops in Belfast and travels to New York City, where he stays in the home of a seasoned cop who has no idea of the terrorist’s true identity. (Movie, 1997) – Newly released on Redbox Instant, but also available on M-GO, Amazon Instant Video and Vudu.
  • The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXIV – October wouldn’t be complete if The Simpsons did not have their annual Halloween special. This year, Guillo Tine del Toro directed the opening couch gag sequence and it is an instant classic. Three spine-tingling stories are told to awaiting fans, from Homer in a demented Dr. Seuss-inspired world, to Mr. Bruns’ bizarre traveling circus and finally an eerie story where Bart’s head is on Lisa’s body.   • Arrow: City of Heroes – The season premiere of this comic book adaptation picks up from their dramatic finale. It opens with Digs and Felicity traveling to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell), who has been hiding out on the island since the earthquake. Oliver’s best friend, Tommy, is dead, Starling City was decimated and a lot of other things have changed. Will they be able to move forward and rebuild their lives?   • Supernatural: I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here – Dean is frantic after Sam collapses and the doctor tells him his brother won’t make it. Desperate, Dean sends a plea through prayer to any angel willing to help that he will owe them a favor. However, his request is answered by numerous angry angels who want to kill him. At the same time, Sam is fighting for his life and Castiel is having a hard time surviving without his powers. (TV Show, 2013) – Newly released on M-GO, Hulu Plus and Vudu.
  • The Following Former FBI agent Ryan Hardy, played by acclaimed actor Kevin Bacon, is brought on board as a consultant when the serial killer he arrested many years before, Joe Carroll (James Purefoy), escapes from prison killing several guards in the process.
