Top 10 new releases and recommendations

Get the weekend started off right with this week’s lineup of great new releases, which include original programs The Wrong Mans (on Hulu Plus) and Alpha House on (Amazon Instant Video).

  • The Wrong Mans – In this new Hulu original series, comedy ensues as two lowly office workers Sam (Mathew Baynton) and Phil (James Corden) become caught up in a deadly criminal conspiracy after Sam answers a ringing phone at the scene of a horrific car crash.   • Skyfall – When a serious menace threatens MI6, James Bond (Daniel Craig) is on the case – putting aside his own life and personal issues to hunt and obliterate the perpetrators.   • The Last Keepers – This drama begins when the teenage daughter of a reclusive family of artists falls in love with an unusual boy at school, she awakens mysterious powers and discovers ancient family secrets that will change her life forever.   • The Mindy Project: You’ve got Sext – When Mindy tells Danny she has a crush, he thinks she’s talking about him instead of Cliff, the lawyer. Meanwhile, Morgan and Peter find Mindy’s phone and respond to a text from Cliff, which starts off innocently, but escalates into something that may lead to unintended romantic consequences.   • Last Resort: Season 1 – With a cast that includes Autumn Reeser, Andre Braugher and Scott Speedman, Last Resort is a thriller set in the near future when the country is fractured and revolves around the crew of a U.S. nuclear submarine who become hunted after ignoring an order to shoot nuclear missiles.
