let your main computer act as a server. use a router to run the roku wirelessly off the router. in otherwords create a home network.

Pretty disappointed with the news about getting the HBO channel. The SOLE reason I purchased the Roku device was to GET AWAY FROM CABLE COMPANIES.

It was hard to believe that Roku *could* get HBO without strings and now i see how. I would have to pay Comcast more than $50 a month to get the service that would include a subscription to HBO through them.

That’s absurd. What’s the frickin point of having a Roku for things like HuluPlus where I can watch all the programs i used to pay Comcast to watch?
