Pretend to be ignorant of high tech. call your number see the run around you get, they put malware on notebook on drivers now I need to pay for tech. support again because I let someone in my notebook. Please warn elders about this scam, how they intersect your #i don’t know but it’s costing me a fortune I don’t have. Please warn people!!!

    • Hi Natalie, Roku does not charge an activation fee or charge for support. There are fraudulent websites that are not affiliated with Roku, but who claim to offer “Roku Technical Support”. Please read this support article for more info: https://support.roku.com/article/208757068-Will-I-be-charged-for-customer-service-or-device-activation-.

I had hoped my input would help in Roku putting a disclaimer on the box, and not a phone number that could be interested. As a result another person was scammed out of even more money than I ;I hope Roku will put a disclaimer on all Roku devices so all the rest of the non techies in the world are not as nice as we were! Thank you for your time.
