You are aware that RT is run by the Russian government? As in Russian Times.

    • Packer Backer

Yep! Funded by the Clinton Foundation’s Uranium sales arm.

      • Chris Cox

Regardless of who you or anybody voted for, it should be concerning for any democracy loving American that Roku is promoting RT, which is a Russian government propaganda mouth piece that only “reports” on what is approved by the Kremlin. There is no freedom of press in Russia.

        • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

Exactly. All that matters is that RT is Russian intelligence propaganda and is
actively working to undermine the sovereignty and safety of the United
States and her allies across the world. Roku should stop making their psychological warfare against the civilized world so easy.

      • Carl Wagner

Sorry mr Backer apparantly you are a slacker, as you waste everyone’s time, with comments that are totally untrue. Check fact checker dot org or any other legitamite site to see there is no evidence of what you speak of. in fact i binged it and could not come up with a one single article. i did find one stating Mr. Flynn was on the payroll of RT television, but that too was proven false. So get your facts straight before printing your own FAKE NEWS

        • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

Michael Flynn got paid repeatedly to appear on Russia Today and got paid to attend an RT anniversary celebration with Putin and Jill Stein. His taking undeclared Russian money was illegal given his position in the US military and national security apparatus. It’s one of many reason why he is in severe legal jeopardy. Please note that the Senate Judiciary Committee has subpoenaed all documents pertaining to this meeting and Jill Stein’s attendance and participation.

          • DylanUSC

            As they should.

      • DylanUSC

Well, when you can show that as “fact”, it mlight have some credibility. People who just throw stuff up with no support is doing nothing but promoting “fake-news” .

    • ShadowFalls

It is, have watched it a few times too. It is effectively Russian government propaganda in english.

      • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

        That’s all it’s ever been.

    • Trent

No problem , as long as it’s not Muslims.

    • Tim Neobard

So? So is the US Government.

      • Dennis Teel

is it my imagination or is everything on roku becoming fee based!!seems i remember more free content two years ago..most all the free stuff i see lately is old content, like classic tv…i’m hoping that fee based doesn’t take over the roku as the norm

        • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

Paid content is already the norm, whether it’s through paid subs or cable logins. Streaming was only cheap in the beginning to get people familiar with the platform. It was always going to become as expensive as cable eventually. Content providers still need revenue to make new TV shows and movies. If people who watch them aren’t buying cable, they’ll get you to pay for streaming services. Nothing new can ever be free. You’ll either pay or sit through ads.

        • tkdblkblt

Not sure how old you are, but I’m old enough to remember the birth of cable tv and the claim they made that you would never have to watch commercials anymore AND you would be getting first run movies. Promises are easy to suck you in. Remember, you can keep your doctor and current health plan if you like it.

      • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

The fact the US government is now run by a psychotic bloodthirsty Russian dictator is a massive freaking problem. How dare you say “so”? And said dictator wouldn’t be in charge of the US if it weren’t for RTA and all the other American outlets, like Fox News, giving vile Russian propaganda an outlet in the US.

  • Michelle Klein-Hass

Has OSI 74 been mentioned? Unique free channel. Indie video, High Weirdness, bad SF/Horror flicks, like those weird indie UHF channels from back in the day. Run by Mister Lobo, Horror Host and raconteur.

  • Tampammm

Check out the new “Caroku” channel. Lot of interesting older flicks, and the content is supposedly managed and updated constantly.

  • James

Love to see Roku and PlayStation Vue fix the user interface, add a guide. What’s the hold up?

  • Chris Nicholson

Anybody else notice the trend of pay pay pay? Push aside cable and all a cart yourself to death at 5 to 10 bucks per whack

    • Allison H.

It’s still waay cheaper than cable.

      • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

No, it isn’t. If you want to duplicate the content of cable, especially sports, you’re going to pay through the nose. If you only watch a few things, yeah, you can stream cheaply but people with a diverse range of needs in their household are going to pay about the same.

    • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

A lot of us warned cord cutters that it wouldn’t be cheaper for long. Nobody wanted to listen but it’s true.

  • Mich Barry

When will you have a USTREAM channel?
    The Nowhereman no longer works…………..

  • Carl Wagner

Just talked to patricjk and Jasmine at Century Link their basic package called the Ultimate starts at $45 a month . They claim they never had a $15 package. So do not waste your time there.

  • Islander_58North

Please, Roku get the KOCOWA app!

  • stevie70

I know this will never happen but I would like the BBC America so I can watch my favorite British shows like Dr Who and mystery shows….also would like a channel with the Chinese show Ten Deadly Sins with English subtitles since I have searched the internet and can’t find it ANYWHERE with English subs (only found in French or Mandarin)

    • MassiveQuantitiesofPie

The BBC America channel doesn’t even show their good stuff anymore. Most of the good stuff is on BritBox now.

      • stevie70

Thanx for the info…. i will check it out… i just know Netflix stopped showing Dr Who and don’t want to pay twice on Amazon since I am already a prime member but still have to pay per episodw to watch a season that is already on sale in stores

        • BritBox has Classic Doctor Who but not the recent Doctor Who seasons. Amazon Prime has the rights to seasons 1-9, and BBC America has the rights to season 10 currently. I expect season 10 will become available via Prime in September or October.

          • stevie70

Thanx…. I just looked and season 10 is already on Amazon for $1.99 an episode but I still need to finish season 9… Heard the next Dr Who is a woman so I wonder who will be her travel partner

Why does ROKU say that I need to “subscribe” to Farm and Ranch TV….a FREE streaming channel on ROKU?
The Developer, Farm and Ranch TV says it is a FREE channel, but when I try to watch it, ROKU says I need to “subscribe” to add the Farm and Ranch TVchannel ??

  • Kenny Emigh

Farm and Ranch TV has been on ROKU since January of 2016, yet when a viewer goes to https://channelstore.roku.com and searches “Farm and Ranch TV” it doesn’t exist??? WHY ROKU?
